How to install Keitaro on a server – tracker guide

Keitaro - a powerful and flexible tracker, popular among webmasters and affiliate marketers thanks to its wide range of features and cost-effectiveness.

To install Keitaro, you will need:

• A server with CentOS 8/9
• SSH access to the server
• A Keitaro licence key (after the trial period ends)
• A console for connecting via SSH (Putty/Termius for Windows or Terminal/Termius for MacOS)

Registering a Keitaro account and getting a key

Let's go to the Keitaro website and start by registering with the Sign Up button.

Enter your Name, Email (you will need to confirm the registration in an email), password and tick the consent box for the service's terms.

Now let's go to your inbox, where there will be an email with a code to confirm the registration.

Next, you will need to confirm your phone number.

You are now on the page with your active activation keys, including the free key. Copy it by pressing just one button.

Installing Keitaro on the server

Open the console of your server running CentOS 8/9

Great, once connected, we need to enter the command to install Keitaro itself:

yum update -y && curl keitaro.io/install.sh > run && bash run -l ru

Press Enter and wait for the installation (4-10 minutes), depending on your server's configuration.

While it is installing, you may see questions like these:

1. Install a free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate?
   
   Answer "No" if you are installing Keitaro in the server root. Then specify the domains that need SSL.
   
   Answer "Yes" if you plan to set up a domain and get an SSL certificate for it.
2. Enter any Username and Password for the Keitaro administrator.
3. Enter the licence key you received when registering.

After installation, you should connect to the Control Panel at:

Next, enter your activation key, the currency you need and the time zone.

Enter any Username and administrator password for future logins to Keitaro.

Great! Next, you will need to set up Keitaro for your goals. Carefully store the details for logging in to the panel as Administrator. The trial plan lasts 14 days.
